NCAB offers a wide range of services in the field of sourcing, production advice and logistics around printed circuit boards. NCAB wants to strengthen its position in the European market and opts for focus on the customer.
Digital Customer Interaction
NCAB has partnered with MxBlue to develop the new Business-to-Business customer portal. By giving the customer 24/7 access to the status of orders, quotations and deliveries, he is no longer dependent on Dutch employees and office hours for answering questions about current affairs. In a number of steps, the entire customer communication around quotations, product specifications and deliveries must ultimately take place digitally. A complex challenge, as customization is the main part of the products.

Solution: Conceived today, a prototype tomorrow
SAP opening up with Mendix
NCAB chose MxBlue because of the combination of Mendix and ERP knowledge and its application in agile project management.
SAP has been chosen as the core system, with the Mendix high productivity platform for the fast and flexible realization of a customer-friendly portal. Only the configuration data is stored in the application on the Mendix platform. Other data is retrieved from SAP on demand. During the project it became apparent that we can make SAP services available in the Mendix customer portal at lightning speed. Conceived today, testable tomorrow as a prototype with working data.
Results: Small steps, quick feedback
In this project between NCAB and MxBlue, we opted for an agile approach. The functionality for the first release was built in four sprints. The developers, the NCAB product owner and users, sat close together for a quick answer to questions and continuous feedback on the intermediate results. We noticed that the users were very enthusiastic. If today's feedback has already been processed the next day, you really feel involved as a user.
Engaged customers.
The project's first release was developed in two months. NCAB involved some of its key customers in the latest round of testing. These provide welcome test feedback. Customers can also use the application to indicate what the most important items are for them as a customer for the next release
