Klemmi

Description

In Rotterdam, ScanCar scans vehicles for defaulters by matching license plates with a tax authority list. Upon detection, an enforcer clamps the vehicle, photographing it to ensure no damage. Payment removes the clamp; otherwise, the vehicle is towed after five days, documented by more photos. Previously, enforcers managed lists, emails, and systems. Now, JAM-IT developed a unified real-time application for streamlined operations.

General Information

Business Need: In Rotterdam, ScanCar scans vehicles for defaulters by matching license plates with a tax authority list.

Solution: JAM-IT's Klemmi, a mobile native app, helps Rotterdam's enforcers manage wheel clamping efficiently. ScanCar alerts enforcers via push notifications of defaulters, who access vehicle details and navigate directly to clamp it. Payment options are available on-site or at the Municipal office, with real-time updates on fines. After payment, the app updates status to 'un-clamp', notifying personnel and tax department. If unpaid after five days, the app schedules towing.

Results: The Municipality gains efficiency with the app, cutting manual tasks for enforcers. This saves time and reduces errors in clamping, towing, and un-clamping vehicles, saving costs. The app fosters teamwork and enhances defaulter tracking through instant plate checks and real-time location monitoring. Privacy regulations anonymize clean plates, while scanning data helps pinpoint defaulter hotspots for optimizing ScanCar routes.
