A system of around 300 Excel spreadsheets that had grown over the years was used to calculate sales prices. A total of around 40,000 items were managed and checked. A redesign of the solution was necessary to better capture business needs, as the management of prices and the complexity of the calculation tables were becoming increasingly challenging.
