The Young Professionals Event had a plenary part with a selection of speakers and an innovation market. The innovation market gave the participants (small and large local business) the change to present themselves. EDB wanted to ensure that each participant could receive an equal amount of visitors to their stand.
Business Need: The Young Professionals Event had a plenary part with a selection of speakers and an innovation market. The innovation market gave the participants (small and large local business) the change to present themselves. EDB wanted to ensure that each participant could receive an equal amount of visitors to their stand.
Solution: The solution was to add gamification to the event. Each participant came up with one question about their business of what was at the stand. Using a mobile app the visitors could respond to the questions and submit. The winner received a full day excursion in the Drecht Cities. The app has the EDB look and feel and was fully configurable for the Event organizer.
Results: A lightweight Progressive Web App was created using Mendix, this way participants did not have to download or install and actual mobile app on their mobile phone, while having rich mobile app functionality. In 4 days of collaboration between Bizzomate and EDB, the app was delivered and used during the event.
