This disconnected process also led to inaccuracies and delayed quotations.
Solution: Working with Plieger, Ciphix developed a Showroom App using the Mendix low-code platform. The application centralises product and pricing data, improves search and filtering functionality via Algolia, automates quotation generation (PDF and email), synchronises with the product information system every two minutes and reduces manual data entry. This enables showroom staff to produce accurate, professional quotations before customers leave the store.
Results: Within six months, the Showroom App was launched and has generated over 2,000 quotations since its release in August 2022. Staff can now rapidly deliver accurate quotes during showroom visits, increasing sales team efficiency, reducing errors, speeding up customer interactions and freeing up time to focus on meaningful engagement and follow-up. The project also helped Plieger shift its internal approach to IT and digital tools, with more Mendix applications planned.
