As the number and scale of fibre-optic rollout projects grew beyond 200 locations, Glaspoort’s existing Word- and Excel-based planning methods became insufficient for managing tasks, milestones and partner activities, leading to a lack of centralised oversight, inconsistent tracking and inefficiencies in planning and control.
Business Need: As the number and scale of fibre-optic rollout projects grew beyond 200 locations, Glaspoort’s existing Word- and Excel-based planning methods became insufficient for managing tasks, milestones and partner activities, leading to a lack of centralised oversight, inconsistent tracking and inefficiencies in planning and control.
Solution: Ciphix delivered a centralised Mendix-based application (‘Liberation’) that provides a single source of information for project status, tasks and milestones across all fibre projects. The solution maps the entire project lifecycle from intake to activation, breaks work down into phases with role-linked milestones, and offers real-time insight into progress, responsibilities and timing via dashboards used daily by project management officers, controllers and production managers.
Results: After going live in eight weeks, the platform restored centralised visibility over hundreds of complex fibre projects, improved prioritisation of tasks and responsibilities, and enabled predictable, transparent partner coordination. Management dashboards offer key insights, including project status and budget tracking, and the application has become essential to daily operations, helping Glaspoort drive projects more efficiently towards its national connection goals.
