Lavans was using an outdated system which had to be replaced and renewed. They tried to implement packaged software but it turned out to be unsatisfactory. They were in need of a customized system that fully supports their processes. With Mendix, they could fill the gaps and create a system that completely supports their wishes. Also, they would be able to quickly adjust the system whenever the need for changes, further developments and/or extensions occur. This would be able because of the flexibility of Mendix. CAPE was assigned to Lavans as partner of Mendix.

Solution: Till now two Mendix solutions were developed, called TMS and KMS, which include eleven integrations. For example, TMS provides options for the CRM system, offers for clients, route planners, administration, cost calculations, billing, leads from the website and product management. KMS consists of, for example, options for barcode generation, handing off clothes and inventory management. Also, a mobile application has been developed for drivers, which is built in Mendix as well. It shows the list of routes drivers are expected to drive, the drivers can register which client they have visited and can indicate the level of satisfaction applying to the client. A unique integration at Lavans is the automatic pantry which allocates the right products to be packed and sent to clients.
Results: Step by step, we are working with Lavans towards a completely automated business process. The entire process will be optimized by Mendix solutions. Lavans is able to automatically request client data, manage leads, automatically calculate costs (previously manually with Excel) and automate warehousing (previously with paper receipts). The solutions decreases the amount of mistakes as well. As we speak, we are still improving and extending current solutions, for example by involving the laundry part of Lavans which will be automatically driven by Mendix.
