Solution: Kien already had a fully-functional logistics management platform (Control Tower) set up, built in Mendix. To provide their local representatives all over the world with the ability to pro-actively inform clients a mobile track and trace app was built. Using Mendix our expert team was able to build a functional and user-friendly version in just a single day! This first version was then developed into the app in use today, and is continuously being improved. representatives can keep track of shipments for clients and then pass on any relevant details personally and tailored to the client’s needs.
Results: The Kien Logistics Management Control Tower and mobile app has been initiated as an efficient way to manage shipments on the move. With real-time shipment and delay information orders are tracked and followed by users on all continents around the world. The Kien Logistics Management mobile app is used to pro-actively inform customers and colleagues about the ETA of the shipment and other relevant information.
