Solution: The first development phase of the clients. In 2017 the portal was upgraded to provide a modern user interface and set the foundation for the future customer service portal. The key reason to use the Mendix platform is Jan de Rijk Logistics’ need for agility. The drive to meet its clients’ needs means that changes occur frequently. Using Mendix these changes can be implemented in a short timeframe, and value added quickly.
Results: The time-to-market of the portal has been 2 months, during which the 2010 version of the portal was upgraded to the latest Mendix version and a new user interface was designed and implemented. To their customers the portal now provides interactive features, including real-time, detailed track & trace data of vehicles and loads. With the advanced and dynamic order management and planning system, Jan de Rijk Logistics gives its customers maximum visibility and transparency. Within the portal they can find: • Detailed information about the position • Truck information • Expect arrival time (real-time route calculations)
