General Information

Business Need: In its primary processes, DHL uses standardized packages. When it comes to specific client processes, it is not always eligible to use standardized packages. In order to register the entry of orders and manage odds in standardized flow of goods in their warehouses, DHL searched for a specific solution which could quickly implement odds in the process as well.

Solution: Within 10 weeks, the cooperating teams of DHL and CAPE developed the Ticket Registration System (TRS) for DHL. The new application was built in Mendix and eMagiz and includes integrations with, among others, barcode scanners, specific label printers and backend-systems. TRS makes case management an easy game for DHL. The TRS solution catches the odds in the entry process and helps the user to solve the tickets. When a mistake is resolved, the order goes back to the Warehouse Management System automatically.

Results: TRS, developed in Mendix, makes it easier for DHL to enable case management. By tracing odds automatically instead of manually, the time and resources that are needed to detect odds are reduced.
