Huuskes has a large assortment of products they sell and produce. Information about these products is stored in a range of systems and in different formats. In some cases, different information will even be stored in multiple systems. All this information needs to be stored somewhere and should later be pushed to other systems so customers can order the products.
Business Need: Huuskes has a large assortment of products they sell and produce. Information about these products is stored in a range of systems and in different formats. In some cases, different information will even be stored in multiple systems. All this information needs to be stored somewhere and should later be pushed to other systems so customers can order the products.
Solution: Since 2014 CAPE works together with Huuskes to initiate the digitalization of the production company, to ensure that Huuskes remains at the forefront of providing insight into product information and recipes for Huuskes production kitchens. First fase: The developed application provides state of the art product information management to the product managers of Huuskes. Within each sales channel, simple and complex products can be accommodated in one or more categories. Each product consists of several attributes, which can be predefined by its category or added to the product later on. All products,categories and attributes can form relations and can be managed. This product structure combined with a high-end user interface design and several Mendix widgets make it easier for users to manage products and their information. Second fase: The product information management system is called HAM (Huuskes ArtikelManager). It enables them to have a central system with all product information for multiple user groups and other systems. Data is enriched through other systems, among which GS1, BrandBank, and PSinFood. Users then have the option to enrich data even further in HAM. HAM also enables users to publish information to other sales channels like their own Huuskes Shop.
Results: A system that contains all information for products and meals. It is automatically kept up to date with data from their ERP system and supplier systems. Different users are able to view and enrich the data, and can publish it to the channels they want to make it possible for customers to order.
